Features
Gcore adds no feature on our checklist.
You would give up NVMe disks, snapshots, IPv6, custom ISO boot.
A three-step cutover
- Create the Gcore server in Germany first so the new IP is ready before DNS changes.
- Move data with rsync or a restic backup; Gcore gives you no snapshot or ISO path in what we read, so test the restore.
- Lower the DNS TTL to 300 seconds a day ahead, cut over, then keep Contabo running for a week as a fallback.
